Endeavour Awards Program

Endeavour Awards Program is managed by the Department of Education Science and Training (DEST). It provides opportunities within the Asia-Pacific region for developing mutual understanding through study, research, professional development and international education experiences.

ELIGIBILITY:

Citizenship Requirements

Must be a citizen of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Cook Islands, East Timor, Fiji, French Polynesia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kiribati, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Mongolia, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu,  Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Wallis & Futuna, Yemen.

 

General Requirements

  • Be citizens or permanent residents of the designated country, and physically resident in that country, at the time of application (those holding Australian citizenship or permanent residency status in Australia are ineligible to apply);
  • Have at least an undergraduate degree;
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency (below).
  • Meet academic requirements (please refer to CCES information book).

English Language Requirements

  • Completed university study conducted in English in one of the following countries: American Samoa, Australia, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Soloman Islands, South Africa, U.K, U.S.A or Zambia; or
  • Undertaken one of the following English tests no longer than two years prior to the time of application. The tests and minimum scores are:

§         An IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or

§         A TOEFL paper based test score of at least 580, including a test score of at least 4.5 in the test of written English; or

§         A TOEFL computer based test score of at least 230 including an essay writing score of at least 4.5

SCHOLARSHIP ENTITLEMENTS:

$5000 travel allowance, $5000 establishment allowance, $2500 per month living expenses and tuition fees.
