Course DescriptionThis unit is designed to enhance students' understanding of GATT/WTO law. The unit examines the role of GATT/WTO law in the regulation of international commerce, with particular emphasis on trade in goods, trade in services, dispute resolution and trade facilitation.
Students in this unit will learn how to locate and use sources of information on GATT/WTO law, identify GATT/WTO issues and their implications for practice, critically evaluate areas of GATT/WTO law reform and indicate the implication of such reforms for customs law and practice, evaluate areas of trade law and suggest necessary law reforms.
