POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN CUSTOMS LAW AND ADMINISTRATION
Our postgraduate courses cater for a range of students; from those who wish to pursue a career in customs and border management to current and future managers of customs administrations and other international trade professionals who wish to expand their knowledge of international trade and customs issues. The courses provide the necessary skills and knowledge to help organisations meet the demands of today's dynamic global economy. The units draw on the latest theory and practice in international trade, customs and excise management, and our ongoing research activities ensure that the courses reflect contemporary and emerging issues impacting on the international trading environment, and more specifically, the business of customs.
The postgraduate courses provide a logical pathway from Graduate Certificate, through Graduate Diploma, to Masters Degree. The courses allow students to gain a professionally relevant qualification and to build on that qualification in the future. Completion of the Graduate Certificate is possible in one semester (full-time or part-time equivalent), and those who attain this award may proceed to the Graduate Diploma, which entails a further semester of study (full-time or part-time equivalent). Similarly, the Masters Degree will be awarded to holders of the Graduate Diploma who successfully complete a further semester of study (full-time or part-time equivalent).
Subjects primarily draw on international best practice to deliver learning outcomes that are relevant to students from any country.
While the courses include a significant legal content they do not require pre-existing legal qualifications or experience to undertake them.
